Skills As. ONE

In my final portfolio, I would like to re-create my photography website. As you can see, it has much to be desired!!

Inside my site, I would like to include a portfolio with images from bridals, weddings and engagement sessions as well as a page that will have my album designs on it. Secondly, it will include a contact page for future clients and a page about me so they can get to know the photographer...we love all of that cheesey stuff.

My target audience for the time being is UTAH BRIDES and then I'd like to branch out to other states and eventually other countries!

Oh, the blessing/curse of email

'By requiring employees to use appropriate, businesslike language in all electronic communications, employers can limit their liability risks and improve the overall effectiveness of the organization's e-mail and Internet copy in the process' - Excerpt from 'Writing Effective E-mail', by Nancy Flynn and Tom Flynn.

I have a very guilty confession: upon reviewing the rules of email ettiquette I find that I am somewhat lacking; One of my biggest faults is that I never check my email!! I get so much spam and I get so irritated, even with all of the latest and greatest in "spam" filtration technology, I just avoid it at all costs.

So, to anyone whom I have not responded in a timely manner, I am truly sorry.

(However, I'm definitely not as sorry as she is!!)

Techno Tact...aka: netiquette

I find it sad to realize that with the advancement of technology, politesse is spiraling ever downward into complete corrosion.

Were people always this angry? I don't think so. It would seem that "flame wars" have almost become a sport. Apparently it is much easier to get angry with or be rude to a computer screen rather than an actual person.

So, for anyone who does not know how to behave properly over the internet (and especially those who think they do) here's a link to the internet bible.

(and no need to worry, I'll also be visiting it often)
